Plagiarism Policy – IESM
IESM (Industrial Engineering System and Management Journal) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using Turnitin or similar tools.
1. Screening and Tolerance
-
Every submission is checked by the editorial team before peer review.
-
Manuscripts must have an overall similarity score of less than 20%.
-
No single source should exceed 3% similarity.
-
Articles exceeding these thresholds will be rejected without review.
2. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism involves presenting another’s ideas, words, or data as one’s own without proper attribution. This includes:
-
Direct Plagiarism: Copying text word-for-word without quotation or citation.
-
Substantial Copying: Reproducing significant portions of another’s work without acknowledgment.
-
Paraphrased Plagiarism: Rewriting someone else’s ideas or structure without citing the original source.
3. Editorial Action
Any manuscript found to violate the plagiarism policy will be rejected. If plagiarism is discovered post-publication, the article may be retracted and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
