SMK Tritect Medan is an institution that is engaged in the field of education. At SMK Tritect Medan, which already has a plus and regular class grouping program. The process of placing regular classes at the moment is very difficult to determine because many students register each year and the system that runs at SMK Tritect Medan is still semi-computerized so that errors often occur in determining students who enter the regular class, and especially during the period. During the current pandemic, the Tritect Medan Vocational School only carries out the class placement process based on the grades of the students. At SMK Tritech Medan, especially the student section, they often find it difficult to select students who enter the plus and regular classes, because of the many students who are entitled to plus and the many sub-aspects or aspect factors that are used to determine the decision to determine the expected scholarship acceptance class. To be able to process data and search for students who enter plus and regular classes more objectively, it is necessary to build a decision support system that can find out who is entitled to get plus and regular classes, as well as help simplify the process of searching for plus and regular class students. To overcome the problems mentioned above, a decision support system is needed to determine students who enter the regular class. Using the SMART method is very appropriate for determining regular class students because the SMART method is a method that is often used as a mechanism in decision making by assuming that there are variable levels. the ideal predictor that must be met by the subject under study, not a minimum level that must be met or passed. The SMART method is a process of comparing the actual data value with a profile to be assessed with the expected profile value.
