Penghitungan Surat Suara Berbasis Teknologi Dengan Menggunakan ESP32

Abstract

General elections or what is abbreviated as Election are an election process involving all citizens who will use their voting rights to elect regents, mayors, governors, presidents and their deputies. The previous election was widely considered to be the most problematic election during the Reformation era, including problems related to fulfilling the principles of electoral fairness and counting ballots. These problems include, namely: the absence of legal guarantees regarding actions, procedures and decisions related to the election process and counting of ballot papers. This can be seen from the many implementation problems due to disputes and unclear counting of ballot papers. the system designed was unable to provide an accurate ballot count. In general elections, counting ballots is an important stage in determining the winner of a political contest. However, manual ballot counting can take quite a long time and allows errors to occur. Therefore, this research aims to develop a technology-based automatic ballot counting system using ESP32 which can speed up and increase the accuracy of vote counting in general elections.
