Peer Review Process
-
Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript is first screened by the Editor as part of the initial editorial assessment. The administrative and preliminary evaluation includes determining whether the manuscript is suitable for Infosys Journal based on its focus and scope, checking the similarity score using Turnitin, assessing the readability and quality of the manuscript and figures, and verifying compliance with the journal's formatting and manuscript template requirements. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are subsequently sent to at least two anonymous reviewers for a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. -
Reviewer Feedback and Revision
The comments and recommendations provided by the anonymous reviewers are forwarded to the corresponding author for appropriate revisions and responses. Following the submission of the revised manuscript, the editorial team evaluates the revisions and recommends an editorial decision. -
Final Editorial Decision
The Editor communicates the final editorial decision to the corresponding author based on the reviewers' recommendations and the results of the editorial evaluation. -
Copyediting and Layout Editing
Manuscripts that are accepted for publication proceed to the copyediting and layout editing stages before being published in Infosys Journal.
Peer Review Outcomes
Based on the feedback obtained during the peer-review process, the Editor makes the final decision regarding the publication of the manuscript. The peer-review process generally takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks. The possible editorial decisions are as follows:
-
Rejected
The manuscript is rejected and will not be published in Infosys Journal. Authors are not permitted to resubmit a revised version of the same manuscript. -
Resubmit for Review
The manuscript requires substantial revisions before it can be considered for publication. Authors are invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript, which will undergo a second round of peer review. -
Accepted with Revision
The manuscript is considered potentially acceptable for publication, provided that the authors make the required minor or major revisions. The revised manuscript will be evaluated by the editorial team to ensure that all required revisions have been adequately addressed before publication. -
Accepted
The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form, with no further substantive revisions required. It will proceed directly to the subsequent publication process.
Correspondence
All correspondence concerning submitted manuscripts should be addressed to the Editorial Office of Infosys Journal, with a copy sent to redaksijurnalupu@gmail.com. The Editor will direct all correspondence to the corresponding or first author, who is responsible for communicating relevant information to the other authors.
In addition to correspondence concerning the review and revision process, accepted manuscripts may require further communication with the authors to complete the copyediting and layout editing processes prior to publication.
